I believe every family deserves permanence.

Meet Stephanie A. Stout

I am a family building attorney dedicated to helping children and families move from uncertainty to stability. My practice focuses on adoption, guardianship, and child protection matters. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside families during some of life’s most meaningful and complex transitions.

I approach each case with empathy, thoughtful legal strategy, and a desire to bring clarity, dignity, and respect to everyone involved. My work is deeply shaped by my early experiences serving women and children in crisis, as well as my continued involvement in child advocacy efforts.

I am licensed to practice law in Idaho and California. I remain committed to serving families with both professional excellence and compassionate care as they move into their next season of life.

Outside of my work, I’m deeply rooted in family, community, and serving others. Some of my earliest experiences were mentoring youth in foster care, which shaped my heart for walking alongside families in difficult seasons.

I earned my degree in Communication Studies from Westmont College and later graduated magna cum laude from Whittier Law School, where I focused on child and family advocacy. I’ve also had the opportunity to study international adoption and children’s rights abroad, further deepening my passion for this work.

Today, my husband and I are raising our three children, and are former foster parents.

In my free time, I enjoy gardening, our pet goats, and being a taxi to our children’s ever increasing sports schedules.
